Wishmaker to leave the UK this week
Wishmaker launched in the UK in 2018 and are set to leave the UK on Wednesday 13th May. As of Wednesday, they’ll be giving players from the UK 1 month to withdraw any funds from their accounts. This comes just a few days after the announcement that Shawdowbet have already ceased business in the UK. Another blow to UK online gaming.
On the 13th of May, we will close the option for UK players to register, deposit and play on Wishmaker.com. Players from the UK will be able to withdraw any funds from their accounts for 1 month after we have closed down this market.
We would like to thank all our UK partners that have been working with us since we launched in December 2018. Hopefully, we will be able to continue cooperating together on our other active markets where we will continue to operate.
Wishmaker go on to say that their decision was due to ‘recent developments that are outside of our control’. Wishmaker operate under Gig (Gaming Innovation Group) who we know are set to cut ties with the UK on 27th May due to ‘increased operating costs’ so we can only speculate that it’s connected to this.
